art collection
THE PROJECT

Following the major transformation at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth by Ivanhoé Cambridge, MASSIVart Collection was appointed to acquire and integrate artworks as a part of the hotel’s permanent art collection, as well as shine a spotlight on emerging artists. The close collaboration between the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, MASSIVart Collection, Ivanhoe Cambridge and SID LEE Architecture is the result of a museum-quality collection that positions this hotel as a premier destination in Montreal’s artistic ecosystem.

Under the supervision of Arthur Gaillard, director and co-founder of MASSIVart Collection, The Queen Elizabeth hosts 123 works of art, most of which are on display in the hotel’s public spaces. Assuring the reputation of local artists among a worldwide audience, MASSIVart maintains its position as an acclaimed participant in the Canadian artistic development.

MASSIVart would like to thank the artists, collaborators, and partners who have worked with us: Fairmont, Dundee 360, Sid Lee Architecture, Ivanhoe Cambridge, Marie-Justine Snider and Camille Lalonde-Lachapelle.
